Blunt said, "We are inundated—it's not only all the movies, it's the endless TV shows as well. It's not to say that I'd never want to play one, it would just have to be something so cool and like a really cool character, and then I'd be interested."
It's hard not to agree with Blunt here. While it was the mediocre Gulliver's Travels that kept her from playing Black Widow, after being offered the role, she's gone on to take a lot of chances and flex her acting muscles in big and small features. Her work in A Quiet Place and Edge of Tomorrow shows she can work in blockbusters just as well as indies.
And it does seem like we have a lot of superhero content lately. While the movies and shows have not suffered in terms of ratings and box office returns, I wonder how many times we can reinvent the wheel without it getting tired and overused.
